The fact that FOF let you quote Chuck Palahniuk on their site brings untold joy to me.

Dodson,
How are your FC doing? I came into possession of your FC pdf and thought it was a solid idea. We are planning to launching something similar this fall in Cinci.

Man, they are awesome. People are deepening in holiness, victory over the flesh, community, joy. It’s really great.
Something that was key for us was to not compete with our main structure of community and mission—City Groups. So, Fight Clubs are unofficial, viral groups. I’ve been doing them for years and recently started a new one with the guy I talk about in the article. It occured to me that we needed something to promote deeper community, holiness, and mission without competing with CGs. So, I preached a sermon in which I developed the idea of a Fight Club and said, “Oh for FCs that meet all over the city at all times of the day.” Next thing I knew people were forming FCs on their own. So i drew up the document you must have and sent it to our leaders only. Then I wrote the article. This weekend I will go deeper with our leaders in a training session on FCs, pastoral leadership, and community.
Feel free to use the article or document, and let me know if you have any more specific questions I can help with.
